Uses:
Designed for heavy duty use and tested by us and friends in the Asian, Pacific and Australian tropics, this formula has proven itself to be indispensable for the traveler or tropical resident who is regularly exposed to serious disease bearing irritants.

Hydrosols, formerly a discarded byproduct of the distillation process, are now recognized as having great intrinsic value and are increasingly offered as discrete products. They have been found to contain subtle molecules from the plant that are too heavy to be extracted into the oil. Much research has been conducted in recent years by French Chemists and Aromatherapists into Hydrosols and the benefits are becoming more understood.

We use a Hydrosol from Western Australia, because of the exceptional quality of the distillation and the species (Santalum spicatum) grown there contains a high level of santanol (>28%) which is the main active ingredient of Sandalwood oil. Some of the benefits are as a soothing astringent. Sandalwood is also used to calm and balance the mind.

Directions:
Spray liberally on all exposed ares of skin as necessary but for maximum effectiveness, apply twice in the first hour. Usually that is enough to be effective in all but the most extreme conditions. In those cases an hourly follow up spray will suffice.

Citronella Oil
The leaves of citronella have been used for their medicinal and aromatic properties in many cultures.

Lemon Scented Eucalyptus Oil.
Eucalyptus citriodora essential oil has a very high citronel content, making it an effective protector.. 

New England Lavender Oil.
The aroma has a calming effect which may aid in relaxation and the reduction of anxiety.

Clove Bud Oil.
Clove bud oil also works as to protect and may be used against mold, around the house and on clothing. 

Patchouli Oil.
It is used in deodorant, personal fragrance, incense and as a repellent. Patchouli is well regarded for its ability to uplift emotions and create an aphrodisiac effect.

Kunzea Oil.
Commonly known as Tick bush, Kunzea is a Tasmanian native known and used by indigenous communities as a protective and healing agent.

Fragonia Oil.
Fragonia is gentle and known to strengthen and harmonise the immune system and works well with Kunzea oil.

Preservative.
One may think that with all of the natural oils present in this formula that we would not need a preservative, and one would be right except for the fact that we also use a water based product (hydrosol) which is susceptible to bacterial contamination. To prevent that, and to maintain an appropriate ph balance, our Hydrosol is treated with the best natural preservative available.

The preservative we use (Benzyl Alcohol Dehydroacetic acid) is approved by the Global certification organizations Eco cert and Cosmo for use in natural and organic cosmetics and skin care products.
